After some years of weathering, two of Aust & Hachmann Canada’s cyclone proof schools in the SAVA region required some interior and exterior renovations. Beautiful results!

In addition, a new washing station was built adjacent to each school encouraging clean hands during these pandemic times.

JHA Fund‘s representative Ertice assisted in getting the children involved after the inaugurations. Everyone now has their own handprint on the outdoor walls, teachers included!

In addition to several other local initiatives, in the past seven (7) years Aust & Hachmann Canada has built five (5) schools + a health clinic in the vanilla region of Madagascar, called the SAVA.

2020/21 Antsahabe and Ambatofitatra: School structure restoration + installation of new hand washing stations for each school

2020 Tanambao’Ampano: New State 3 class Primary School, latrines and hand washing station

2019 Andamoty: New State 3 class Primary School and latrines

2017 Antsahorana: New State 3 class Primary School and latrines

2016 Ambohitrakongona: New Health Centre/Woman’s Clinic, water tower and latrines

2015 Ambatofitatra: New State 3 class Primary School and latrines (hand washing station added in 2020)

2014 Antsahabe: New State 3 class Primary School and latrines (hand washing station added in 2020)
